a) Select
Android SDK Location =
C:\AndroidSDK
this is the path where
Android SDK will be installed.
b) Select the version
Android SDK:
I chose
Android 8.1 (Oreo)
I'm using
Android 8.1 (Oreo) because I bought a
Android tablet in 2017 and there is
Android 8.1.
Each
Android phone has its own version like this:
All versions of Android systems ...
Importantly! The
Android SDK version is the same as the system version on the
Android phone.
Note!
If you are writing a program for version 8.1 (phones, tablets from 2017), then your program will start and work well:
on a phone with version 8.1 (phones, tablets from 2017)
on a phone with version 9 (phones, tablets from 2018)
on a phone with version 10 (phones, tablets from 2019)
on a phone with version 11 (phones, tablets from 2020)
on a phone with version 12 (phones, tablets from 2021)
etc.
If you are writing a program for version 12 (phones, tablets from 2021), then your program will start and work well:
on a phone with version 12 (phones, tablets from 2021)
on a phone with version 13 (phones, tablets from 2022)
on a phone with version 14 (phones, tablets from 2023)
etc.
i.e. it will not work on old phones until 2021
