Node.js (this is a web server that executes JS files)

Отладка Node.js. Смотрим значения переменных, стэк функций, breakpoints в Visual Studio Code

Чтобы отладит Node.js приложение или увидеть значение переменной используется Visual Studio Code

Шаг 1 Открываем Visual Studio Code

Если у вас не установлена Visual Studio Code нужно установить Visual Studio Code ...

Шаг 2 Открываем папку

Нажимаем "Open Folder"

Шаг 3. Выбераем программу для запуска

Нажимаем клавишу F5 и выбираем какой программой будем запускать
Выбираем "Node.js" (то есть наша программа запускается как Node.js приложение)

Шаг 4. Настройки. Путь к запускаемому файлу

Нажимаем F5 (запуск в debug)
Появится настройки
Для programm напишем название запускаемого файла "${workspaceFolder}\\server.js"

Закроем lanuch.json файл

Шаг 5. Ставим "Точки остановки" (Breakpoint)

Точка остановки (Breakpoint) ставится нажатием клавиши F9
Нажимаем F5 (запуск в debug)

Программа запущена и мы можем смотреть:
• WATCH (значение переменных)
• CALL STACK (стэк вызовов функций)
• BREAKPOINTS (ставить, убирать точки остановки)

На заметку! Чтобы увидеть окно с WATCH, BREAKPOINTS, CALL STACK нужно нажать в меню View → Debug
