Open Visual Studio

Open a project in Visual Studio

Run the Android project on the computer (Windows)

Click on Code and download the code

Step 2. Open Visual Studio

To write a game using MonoGame and for the game to work on different platforms, you need Visual Studio with the Xamarin option.

Step 3. Open a project in Visual Studio

I downloaded the project MyGame_AnimalGo_MonoGame to the folder D:/MyGit
In Visual Studio open the file MyGame_AnimalGo_MonoGame.sln

Step 4. Make Android the project active (i.e. to run)

Step 5. Run the Android project on the computer (Windows)
